Video Documenting the On-Street Public Parklet

Following extensive public consultation over nearly two years, strong community support was indicated for this public space amenity.

Common on main streets in many Montreal and Vancouver neighbourhoods, Toronto still only has a few examples of on-street parklets, so Forest Hill Village is an early adopter of this innovative, community-building public space initiative.

In partnership with the City of Toronto, the Forest Hill Village BIA installed a seasonal, on-street public parklet in the centre of the Village on the east side of Spadina Road — it can be found in the first parking spot north of Lonsdale, and is removed each winter.

Now Creative Group produced this video during the first season of its installation, interviewing local residents and business owners.
