Logo Design for a City Councillor Campaign
An ongoing project is the election campaign of Louroz Mercader, running for City Councilor in Mississauga, Ontario. Mercader’s new campaign logo was revealed at the Campaign Launch in Mississauga on Saturday January 9, 2010.
The logo represents the idea of that Louroz is reaching out as a helping hand to the community. The letter “M” is representative of the name “Mercader” and “Mississauga”, and Mercader’s the “M” identifiable on Mercader’s palm.
The line beneath the “MERCADER2010” title is designed to be a variable depending on where the logo is placed (e.g. it would contain a campaign slogan, and in many cases the website address: lourozmercader.com).
The colours represent all sides of the political spectrum, and along with the standard red and blue, there are also multiple variations of the logo for various circumstances and audiences (e.g. rainbow for Pride, flags for various ethnic communities).
