Business school council making a splash
The Schulich Undergraduate Business Council is the student government of students at Schulich School of Business at York University. The council, which represents the interests of the student body, encourages involvement in the school, and promotes the business program to the external business community, was looking to create a completely new website and visual identity.
Although representing students of a prestigious business school, Schulich UBC wanted to add a creative edge. While maintaining the classic blue and white colour scheme, the logo design includes a splash. This organic shape in the artistic medium of paint helps Schulich UBC to stand out from other standard business organizations.
When required, alternate text-based version of the logos were also developed for formal situations.
The new website contains core content from the existing site as well as several new features. The many pages organize the council’s many clubs and events as well as online resources, and the detailed “about” section profiles each member and more.
The site was created using a content management system for easy access and efficient update ability for the council, who will post newsletter content twice per week on the blog. Further content and graphics will be added to the site after its launch on the first day of classes, September 7.
